Director of Compliance (Full Time)

Position: Director of Compliance

Reporting To: Program Director

Location: Maricao, Puerto Rico (Remote possible within Puerto Rico)

Hours: Full Time

Responsible For: Compliance of CDBG-DR Program, reporting and evaluation for PR HUD

Background:

Monte Azul is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization with a mission to educate new and existing agricultural workforce to promote thriving new producers through the development of an agricultural resource center and campus for educational and demonstrative purposes.

 

Purpose of Job:

To ensure compliance with PR HUD (Depto. De Vivienda) per terms of a grant contract

Principal Accountabilities/Responsibilities:

  • Guide Management Staff on compliance with Code of Federal Regulations

  • Identify compliance issues that require follow-up or investigation.

  • Discuss emerging compliance issues to ensure that management and employees are informed about compliance reporting systems, policies, and practices.

  • File appropriate compliance reports with regulatory agencies.

  • Maintain documentation of compliance activities

 

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Nonprofit Management, or related field

  • At least 2-3 years grant writing, managing nonprofit budget, or federal grant management

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook

  • Proficient with Google Drive and Docs

  • Proficient with Microsoft Teams, Google Meets, and Zoom

  • Fluent in English and in Spanish

  • Must have valid US Driver’s License

  • Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs. 

  • Must be proficient in compliance with federal labor laws and safety protocols

  • Must be Self motivated, a team builder, and bring a positive attitude to the workplace
